Four of Gor Mahia players who made it in the provisional AFCON lists have all made it to the final lists to represent their countries in the African Cup of Nations to be played Egypt from 19th June 2019.
Philemon Otieno: The k’Ogalo right-back has been having a good run in the local and continental games this year, catching the eyes of Harambee Stars Coach Sébastien Migné. His defense skills with overlapping tact has made him the undisputed right back for Kenya N.T. He will look forward to continuing to doing the same in the forthcoming AFCON.
Francis Kahata: One of the best midfielders in the country, Kahata performance has drawn attention to many local and international football lovers. His role in the continental assignment for the club has been breathtaking. Migné will rely on him to create chances for the team and also score some goals. A dead ball specialist. Kahata has what it takes to shine at the AFCON in Egypt.
Joash Onyango: The rock behind Gor Mahia defense, Joash has been up to the task for Gor Mahia defense with the energy and commitment required. His role in CAF Champions League, Confederation Cup and KPL was enough to convincingly make Migné have him as his one of the center back choices for the Afcon 2019. He has what it takes to nail a starting berth in Egypt.
Francis Mustafa: In Burundi, forward Francis Mustafa has made it to the final list of Burundian squad that will be in Egypt. Mustafa has been instrumental in k’Ogalo list of players who have pushed the success of the club a notch higher especially as game changer whenever he comes on. A workaholic off the ball and a good team player, his contribution will be vital for Burundi in Egypt.
We wish them all the best.
