A brace from striker Jacques Tuyisenge and a superb effort from Humphrey Mieno were enough to give Gor a 3-1 win over Nzoia Sugar in a league match in Kisumu today.
After settling in the game, it took Tuyisenge only 33 minutes to break the deadlock.
The half break whistle went with Gor Mahia leading 1-0 over their opponents from Bungoma.
Humphrey Mieno would then double the lead with just three minutes into the second half.
The defending champions showed their appetite for more goals as they pinned the Sugar Millers in their own half and the pressure wasn’t going to take long – Tuyisenge nailed a third goal on the 59th minute and that meant Nzoia side were out of it.
The Sugar Millers would then pull one back on the third minute of added time but it wasn’t enough to earn them anything in the game.
The win takes Gor Mahia to 40 points from 16 matches and a gap of 6 points with four matches in hand.
