Gor Mahia coach praises squad after beating Posta Rangers

After pulling a worthy win in a tough league duel over Posta Rangers at Kasarani stadium yesterday,  Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr has given his fair share of praise to his players.

The Briton said it was a tough tie but his training on the dangers Posta Rangers posed worked so well to help the team collect maximum points as the title race continues.

"It was a tough game as Posta came to the party as I expected and we worked on the dangers they possess on Monday and it worked," Kerr exclusively told the official Gor Mahia website.

He rued the missed chances though was happy with his strikers for the hard work the front men displayed.

Kerr was however concerned about possession in second half  and said that's an element he will address in training before the next match.

"First 25 minutes we attacked very well again missing several chances and Meddie scored his 'first' goal which for me, was excellent because both him and Jaques worked hard off the ball."

"Second half we lost possession too much and that made Posta side keep attacking which is something I need to address in training," he added.

The new coach who took over from Ze Maria and has been incharge of five league matches - registering a 100 percent record said that his backline players showed the desired defensive qualities to keep them in the game.

"We have the three points and amazing credit goes out to the four defenders, our goalkeeper and the  midfield for their desire determination and heart not to concede."

Kerr's special appreciation went to the technical staffs, club officials and fans. "Special thanks to all the technical staffs, all our security team,  my chairman Ambrose Rachier, club CEO Ludovick Aduda plus other officials as well as  fans who have been so supportive all through."

Kerr will be leading K'Ogalo in a mouth watering derby clash against AFC Leopards on Sunday at Nyayo stadium.
