Gor Mahia coach proud of his players

After registering his sixth win in seven league matches to stay firm at the summit, Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr is delighted at the progress so far and appreciates the attitude of his players.

The Briton was speaking to the club's official website after the 4-0 routing of Nzoia United in Kisumu on Saturday where Jacques Tuyisenge netted a brace while Meddie Kagere and Francis Kahata grabbed a goal each to put things way beyond the Western based team.

"l had a prior information about how Nzoia United play and we knew what exactly to train on to get good results," said Kerr.

"We had good finishes, something that has been a worry in many matches. We trained on set pieces and for sure, our training before the match helped. I am so happy we scored a couple of goals."

Commenting on the players attitude and way of doing things, the tactician appreciated the professionalism in his players and said that's an element that will hugely contribute to the team's success this season.

"Still I'm proud of the players good professional attitude in our quest to achieve the best. That in itself is a great factor for success," he added.

<[>Focus remains on next match against Chemelil Sugar on Thursday in Kisumu and Kerr said: "We will be keeping everyone together prepared to play. We have two games in 48 hours but we are always focused on one game at a time and keep our minds on the 3 points." After playing 22 matches, Gor Mahia is leading the Kenya Premier League table with 47 points with a gap of nine points.
