The team hit the runaway to Kigali on Saturday morning and good preparations were done and everyone is ready for duty as confirmed by head coach Dylan Kerr.
“We trained well after the derby. We sharpened a few areas of concern arising from our previous matches and we are ready for the next challenge” said head coach, Dylan Kerr.
Asked about the mood in camp Kerr said they are focused on the most important things now.
“Everyone has grown from the excitement of qualifying for group stage and focus has now shifted to the bigger picture – we are gearing up to make a stride in this.
“At this stage, there is no easy game both in Caf Confederation and in the league. We have increased responsibility and this, I have explained to my technical staff and players. We are on the right track,” noted Kerr.
The coach also has much appreciation for the fans who have been instrumental for the team throughout with their unwavering support.
“Football is about fans, Gor Mahia fans are amazing, they follow us everywhere we go, cheering the boys to victory and we never take it for granted. As a team we’ve noted through social media the good number of fans traveling to Rwanda and we are delighted. We say thank you.”
