CAF axe lands on Gor Mahia as club is fined, players banned

Gor Mahia have been dealt a blow following a decision by CAF disciplinary board to ban two players and a fine of Sh1 million being slapped on them.

Defenders Haron Shakava and Joash Onyango have both been suspend for next two CAF matches for what is termed as unsporting behavior during the match against Lobi Stars in Nigeria.

The two players missed the first leg of knock out match against New Stars of Cameroon pending a decision that was to be made in Cairo, Egypt yesterday.

With the ban, it means Gor Mahia will play their return leg against News Stars de Doula this coming weekend without the two players.
