Gor Mahia and Bandari FC wrapped up the FKF Premier Leagues first led with a barren draw at Nyayou national Stadium on Jamhuri Day evening.
K’Ogalo however reclaimed the top spot in the league standings extending this season’s unbeaten start in the 2021/2022 season to eight games.
Gor Mahia’s early chances were wasted by Burundian Jules Ulimwengu who headed wide John Macharia’s cross in the 5th minute of the game.
Defender Dennis Ng’ang’a was next eviction of wasted chance 2 minutes later with a low shot after Fred Nkata cross.
In retaliation to counter K’Ogalo’s pressure on the game, Bandari pushed themselves forward with Kasumba to head home, but his header from Wadri’s cross went wide.
Wadri again came close to strike and opener in the 35th minute of the game from a free-kick awarded to Bandari just outside the box but K’Ogalo custodian Gad Mathews was alert saving it for a corner-kick.
Both teams had little commitment to penetrate each other’s defense after the resumption of the second half with little goal attempts, making both goalkeepers have easy moments in the field..
The game ended in a barren draw with K’Ogalo going top on the league table.
