David Mapigano was on the score-sheet with a rare goal as K’Ogalo won 3-0 against Bandari FC in an entertaining match played at Afraha Stadium – Nakuru.
K’Ogalo custodian scored a stunning goal in the ninth minute when his long kick clearance found the opponent’s goalkeeper off his line.
Gor Mahia doubled in the 43rd minute of the first half with a goal from newly signed left-back Mike Apudo registered his first goal for the defending champions.
In the second half, substitute Kennedy Otieno “Agogo” widened the scoreline in the 73rd minute, giving visitors little hope for any come back.
Bandari had a chance to score a consolation at the stroke of full time after Darius Msagha was brought down inside the box by Charles Momanyi, but David Mapigano saved Lugogo penalty.
The win put defending champion in position two with two games at hand and only one point less from the league leaders – Kakamega Homeboyz.
