Gor Mahia trip to Lusaka – Zambia for a CAF Confederation Cup match against NAPSA Stars on Friday 19th February 2021 failed to take place and the team is still in Nairobi.
Gor Mahia secretary general Sam Ochola confirmed the team is still in Nairobi and is expected to take off anytime before the Sunday clash.
“It is true, we have not traveled as expected, we were supposed to leave for Zambia on Friday but some issues cropped up so we did not travel,” Ochola explained.
“We are doing our best to make sure the team travels before the end of Saturday; we are working on it.”
The SG could not however esplain in details the reason as to why the team could not travell on Friday.
“There are many things and I cannot explain now, just call me after two hours and I will be able to give you full details of what happened and what time the team will travel.”
The Kenyan champions lost 1-0 to Napsa Stars at home and will have work more hard to qualify for the Continental league Group stage.
