Gor Mahia has appointed former goalkeeper Jerim Onyango as the new Goalkeeper coach/trainer.
This came a day after Willis Ochieng’ resigned citing personal reasons and family matters.
Onyango began his professional career at K.R.A. in 2006 before joining Gor Mahia two years later. He was K’Ogalo’s first-choice keeper since the beginning of the 2009 season after Jacktone Odhiambo left the club for Ulinzi Stars.
Jerry as is known captained Gor Mahia to their first league title in 18 years in 2013.
In another development, defender Haron Shakava has been named the new team Captain taking over from midfielder Kenneth Muguna.
Shakava rejoined the club from Nkana of Zambia and was an integral part of Gor Mahia before he left the club as a Captain and this appointment will mark his second time being the captain.
