After a thrilling encounter against bankers (KCB) on Thursday 2nd May 2019 at the Kenyatta stadium-Machakos, Gor Mahia are at the lakeside city of Kisumu to face Western Stima. The last encounter between the two sides ended in a 1:1 draw.

Gor Mahia Coach Hassan Oktay will have to be cautious with the power boys and field a strong squad to provide the much needed result to appease the passionate lakeside fans.

Gor Mahia will be aiming to maintain their unbeaten run since their loss against KCB in the KPL first leg encounter on the 27th January 2019 in Machakos. The consistency that has previously eluded K’ogalo in this campaign will be vital in building the right momentum to stay in the lead and potentially claim the KPL title.

With a robust squad at his disposal, one would only wait to see how Oktay will make use of the available options in the form of Jacques Tuyisenge, Dennis Oliech, Francis Mustafa, Hashim Sempala, Ernest Wendo, Francis Kahata, and Kenneth Muguna to stretch the Stima backline.

In the defense Harun Shakava, Joash Onyango, Geoffrey Ochieng’ and Wellington Ochieng’ could be lined up in this encounter.

All the three custodians are fit for today’s assignment, Oktay should have an easy time selecting any of them to face Western Stima.

The kick-off time is 3:00 pm at Moi Stadium – Kisumu.
