Defending champions Gor Mahia made two victories in two league games when they outclassed stubborn KCB 2-1 at Kenyatta stadium, Machakos on Sunday evening.
K’Ogalo got off impressively, perhaps wary of the dramatic three all drama that marked the last fixture against KCB.
After a tumultuous week for the Kenyan champions new signing Francis Afriyie and on form midfielder Lawrence Juma propped K’Ogalo upfront with first half goals before Enoch Agwanda pulled one back for the banker.
Lawrence Juma would double in the 32nd minute with his trademark shot sending a thunderbolt shot after visitors’ poor clearance from a corner kick.
The visitor however got a penalty in the 39th minute after Wellington’s light tackle on Waruru in the box.
With a game at hand, k’Ogalo are in position 3 on the KPL table. The team will now embank on the continental assignment when they face USM Alger in the CAF CL return leg to be played at Kasarani on Sunday 29th September 2019.
