After CAF Champions League assignment, Gor Mahia will be at Mumias Complex on Wednesday 2nd October 2019 in a KPL match against Nzoia Sugar.
This is a rescheduled after the match was postponed due to k’Ogalo’s involvement in CAF Champions League campaign.
Gor Mahia has denominated this fixture having won 5 of the last 6 meetings between the sides.
In the last meeting Nzoia Sugar won 1-0 at Mumias Complex, derailing k’Ogalo’s title celebration. (also read Gor lose to Nzoia Sugar to delay league title celebrations). K’Ogalo conceded the only goal of the match in the 33rd minute after a Nzoia player was fouled near the box. The resultant free-kick was scored by Hansel Ochieng.
With 2 games at hand and with 6 points from the first 2 matches, a win for Gor Mahia will push us back top of 2019/20 KPL table.
Head Coach Steven Polack has a full house from which he will choose the match day squad. Samuel Onyango will miss the match as he continues to recover from an illness.
The team leaves tomorrow morning by flight to Kisumu then connect by road to Mumias. The match kicks of at 3 PM.
