Gor Mahia saw off National Super League side Bidco United 1-0 in a pre-season build-up match played at City Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Simone Pierre finished off a well put through pass from George Odhiambo on the half hour mark to break the tie with the only goal of the match.
Gor Mahia unveiled their final season 2015 new signings minutes before the kick-off much to the delight of the sizable crowd in attendance.
Coach Frank Nuttall named Khalid Aucho as the only new signing amongst a string of old guards in the squad that kicked-off the tie against Bidco United.
The pack of reigning KPL champions started off well and Haron Shakava headed just over from a Eric Ochieng corner in the fourth minute. The visitors, on the other hand, deployed a more cautious approach and stuck to the tact throughout the half, barely causing a threat to Onyango’s goal.
George Odhiambo was as brilliant as usual as he mostly approached play from either sides of the attacking wings. Aucho too blended in well in midfield alongside Eric Ochieng’.
The second half saw a whole new look K’Ogalo side take to duty and the players seemed eager to win the fans with the first impression. The crowd was eager too and applauded every brilliant display exhibited.
At the final whistle, there was no more goal to count for either side. Coach Frank Nuttall and his technical team, however, picked a few points from the first pre-season assignment.
The fans too walked away with points to praise and critic on the new signing from a first impression judgment as the team embarks strides closer to season 2015 kick-off.
