K'Ogalo start continental charge on artificial turf in Bujumbura

Newly installed Gor Mahia coach Steven Polack has named a strong line up for the first leg of CAF Champions League tie against Aigle Noir of Burundi.

Tanzanian goalkeeper David Robert Mapigano gets the nod between the posts ahead of Patrick Odhiambo who will deputize. Mapigano joined K’Ogalo from Singida and has made two starts for the team in CECAFA Club Championships where impressed hugely.

in central defense, stalwarts Joash Onyango and Charles Momanyi begin their post Harun Shakava partnership while ‘Mboka boys, Geoffrey Ochieng and Wellington Ochieng will play on the left and right respectively. First choice fullbacks Shafik Batambuze has not regained full match fitness while Philemon Otieno sustained an injury while turning out for Harambee Stars last weekend.

New signing Tobias Otieno will anchor the midfield with newly installed skipper Kenneth Muguna and Lawrence Juma are deployed slightly ahead of him.

Nicholas Kipkirui will spearhead K’Ogalo’s three-pronged attack with Boniface Omondi and Dickson Ambundo flanking him.
