Perennial Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions Gor Mahia appointed Raymond Oruo as the new Sports Management Consultant, Marketing Consultant, and Acting Chief Executive Officer.
He replaces Lordvick Aduda who is contesting for the President position on in the forthcoming FKF election.
Oruo is specialized in Sports Sponsorship Strategy, Sports and Event Management indicated in his documents submitted to the club. He holds Bachelor’s Degree in Education at Moi University.
Thought with some past questionable record, Oruo is known for his vast knowledge in sports management, having worked in various sports departments in various institutions with KCB being his last job as a Sports Manager before joining the Green Army.
According to the club’s communication, Oruo is an experts that will bring professionalism in the club’s management and improve the way it is run.
“Raymond brings a lot of sports management experience to our club having done the same in other areas including holding the position of Sports Manager at KCB bank. He will be the head of the club’s secretariat and will work under the supervision of the club’s secretary-general.
Develop and implement the Gor Mahia strategic plan, marketing, and business plans to maintain and increase revenues from existing operations as well as new business opportunities,” read the club’s requirements of a CEO.
Oruo core responsibility will be to develop policies and strategies for financial management, accountability and long terms stability through conservative fiscal management of resources, lead, guide, integrate the secretariat, and reinforce organizational structures for effectiveness and efficiency. Be in charge of matchday activities both in and out of the country.
